Clubhouse Earns Recognition and Certification

February 20th 2010 -
Yocha Dehe Golf Clubhouse offers the ultimate experience with its panoramic views and full-service restaurant among the pristine Golf Course.  It's not a surprise to anyone who has visited, that the 18,000 square foot clubhouse continues to show up on multiple lists of honors including being a finalist in Golf Inc.'s "Clubhouse" daily-fee category.

Continuing in Yocha Dehe's stewardship for the land,  Yocha Dehe Golf Club recently earned LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.  The Silver Certification is for the environmentally conscious design and features of its clubhouse.  The clubhouse was awarded the Silver Certification for exceeding green building standards, including: installing increased wall insulation and high-performance glass that are 22 percent more energy efficient than the California Building Code Requirements; using a water system in the clubhouse that is 42 percent more efficient than is required by the Energy Policy Act; installing special heat pumps that use water from an onsight pond to cool and warm the clubhouse.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the international standard evaluation for green building design.
